For the past year I've been completely unsuccessful in creating and maintaining a ComEd acount to pay my electric/power bills. I've made three different accounts but can never seem to sign in.

I've called support and even email their technical team but only response I ever got was:

We apologize but we are experiencing some issues with user logins

After a year of reminding myself to log online and pay on time (which was rare), I finally decided to create a new account and try once again. As i registered my account I realized what the problem was the entire time:

The have a 10 character limit on passwords but my typical password is more than 10 characters. What's even better is that while they limit the input field to 10 characters when you set...

So I assume that you all know that there is a revolution that is happening in Egypt as you read this post (assuming it's still January of 2011). Also, a revolution has occurred in Tunisia and people are saying that Twitter and other social media channels have facilitated the events.

While discussing the issues with my parents, I asked them how their lives would be different if they had a view of the outside world through social media when they were young. I wanted to know if experiencing the world through YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr and the internet would have psychologically altered their understanding of life, freedom and revolutions.

My parent grew up in a world without resources. They barely had any books in their town, and if they...

I don't have a real work schedule and worse I don't have a boss man to tell me that I'm late. I can stroll into the office at anytime without any consequences, which makes it increasingly difficult to regiment myself.

Every morning I wake up, drive one whole block to Starbucks and enjoy my first sip of coffee as I'm defending my mayorship on Foursquare. I check in, get my coffee, check on my friends and head to the office. I usually check into the office around 7:45 - 8:15 AM. It hasn't always been like that, in fact, it's watching my friends on Foursquare that compelled me to start my day earlier, and consequently, be more productive.

For those who don't know, Foursquare is the check in app that allows you to share your location with friends...

I constantly get followers on Twitter but none of them care to say hello, how are you, and/or introduce themselves. Why would I follow you back?

Facebook, on the other hand, is more annoying. Everyone who randomly befriends me is usually trying to invite me to their crappy events. Look at this shaninigans, 33 events, 206 message. All from promoters, event marketers and whatever else people do.

Since I was a kid I believed the perfect women was out there for me. By "perfect women" I mean somebody who I could love and would never ever have problems with. I believed in this idea of perfection. I blame movies for this.

Then along came the iPhone. A masterpiece in mobile technology. I instantly fell in love with this phone. If my iPhone was a women I'd marry her. Unfortunately she's a piece of metal, plastic and computer parts. But the three year relationship with my iPhone has taught me a lot about women, love and relationships.

I always looked up to my parent's relationship. They never seemed to fight...or so I thought. The truth was that they did. Everybody fights, but it's our ability to overcome these small tussles that make a relationship...

The other day I was sitting at a conference table and was suddenly hit by a reality that I almost never reflected on. I was at the Aon Building, standing at a conference table that belongs to one of the most influential Public Relation's companies in the world. I was surrounded by a bunch of kids, the oldest of us was 27 years old and we were about to make some big decisions.

While presenting our ideas I suddenly lost my train of thought. I hesitated for a few moments and experienced reality in it's more raw form. I'm 26 years old and I was presenting my companies design's to a million dollar company...and not only that, but it directly effected a government based program to be run in our state. For 3 years I've been doing this. I've been...

Sometimes it's so hard to say goodbye. I'm not talking about a friend leaving forever or sad moment in our lives where we lose something in our life. No, I literally mean that sometimes it's difficult to just say "goodbye" to somebody.

I was on the phone with a potential client the other day and we exchanged goodbyes for a few minutes before hanging up. It was awkward! Here is how the conversation went:

me: "ok sounds good. We'll talk next week then"
them: "ok great. Thanks for your help!"
me: "no problem. Thank you and have a good weekend"
them: "thanks, you too."...
them: "have a good weekend too! Bye!"
me: "thanks, bye!"
them: "ok great. Bye!"
me: "yeah....bye!"
them: "ok thanks again. We appreciate it!"
me: "no problem. Talk to you soon."
them:...

That might be the worst name ever, perhaps because it makes no sense. Anyhow, I have absolute no proof of this, but it just makes sense:

You CANT trust a girl who takes a whole bunch of photos of her self and posts them on FacebookUnless shes a model, totally different story.

Doesnt anyone else notice this growing trend? Girls will use their little MacBook camera or their web cam and stage themselves a little photos shoot and then post it on Facebook. Why would any of us care?

There are better ways of getting attention.

I remember when AOL 95 came out, I was all over that. I was dominating and exploiting AOL's security holes as alias "wildman656" (btw, wildman because i was quite wild back then, a 12 back of coca-cola and some cookies and i was off the walls). But as social media has taken over our lives we are moving away from the anonymity of the web and into the personal brand.

When the web first came out it was a place to share your thoughts, yourhonestthoughts! I mean really honest, like if the people or places you were taking about knew it was you they were going to break your legs (or yell at you). You could make a blog and share your thoughts. Not to say you can't do this anymore, but now a days it's aboutactually being you.We are branding ourselves...
