My iPhone running OS 3.1.2 on T-Mobile stopped receiving/accepting MMS messages one day. It took me a few days to figure it out, but after I came across a modmyi.com forum topic I was able to fix the issue. Heres what I came up with:

  1. Open Cydia
  2. Goto Manage > Sources and add Sinful iPhone Repo (google to find the exact url) then add the Source
  3. Goto Search (in Cydia) and search for MMS and Tethering Settings 5.6 > install it
  4. Reset your network settings by Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
  5. Restart your iPhone
  6. Go back to Settings > General > Cellular Data Network and restore your old Data Network settings (APN: epc.tmobile.com or wap.voicestream.com)
  7. Restart your iPhone

If youre wondering why I reset then...

Foursquare is my new obsession. Although Ive had the app for months I just started using it regularly.

Whats interesting is how it makes going out more social. Yeah, more social. You can check in at almost any spot in the city, view whos there and what tips people have left. If you frequent a place youll eventually become the mayor.

I think this app is going to take a little time to get as popular as Twitter/Facebook (or even close) but once more people are on it the more fun itll be.

Download the app and try it out! Foursquare

I remember when AOL 95 came out, I was all over that. I was dominating and exploiting AOL's security holes as alias "wildman656" (btw, wildman because i was quite wild back then, a 12 back of coca-cola and some cookies and i was off the walls). But as social media has taken over our lives we are moving away from the anonymity of the web and into the personal brand.

When the web first came out it was a place to share your thoughts, yourhonestthoughts! I mean really honest, like if the people or places you were taking about knew it was you they were going to break your legs (or yell at you). You could make a blog and share your thoughts. Not to say you can't do this anymore, but now a days it's aboutactually being you.We are branding ourselves...

For some people, it's not easy to approach a girl, begin conversation and openly ask her on a date. No, sir. Actually, for most guys it is quite difficult to grow our balls, pull back our sweat and say "what's up, sweet thang...you're like a tall glass of water, and I'm telling you straight up - I'm thirsty!" So naturally, as a product of social and environmental conditioning, we have developed new, more subtle and less romantic ways of asking a girl for a date.

I remember growing up in a small social environment and it was interesting how relationships began. I don't think I actually saw anyone every openly ask a girl on a date (except for Leigh, we always asked her -- and consistently got shut down). I feel like most of the time, people...

Life changes. That is, hands down, the worst part. But somehow we are psychologically conditioned to accept these changes and allow the flow of time to continue to pull us along. 100 years ago people only had memories, but now we have visual proof; we have, within a single photograph or a 30 second video clip, a parallel universe that contains those memories, which live on, forever looping, and consistently bringing those memories back to life.

Before you go ahead and call me "Sentimental John", you should think about this within the context of your own personal history. After viewing some photos an old friend posted on facebook, i suddenly had a glow in my heart, a nice warm feeling of home, friendship and the essence of childhood. And although...

I had a brilliant idea the other day! Absolutely brilliant. Don't know where it came from but it might make a great iPhone app.

So I won't lie (and you knowyoucan't either), I've been guilty of drunk dialing. In fact, I've done it a bunch of times. Luckily it's only happened twice since college. But nonetheless, it is something I do. And there are a lot of people like me who are similarly guilty of drunk dialing. And we all have those friends that are habitual drunk dials, yeah they are bad. BUT! But I have a solution. What is it? Install an phone application that requires authentication for phone calls made after a certain time at night, i.e. 2am.

What the hell does that mean? Simply, if it's after 2am and you're trying to make a call then...
